Online calculation to estimate the cost of an individual lease extension of a flat, or the freehold of a house.
This automated model is designed by Marr-Johnson & Stevens LLP.
This calculator is not designed to give anything more than general advice, and Marr-Johnson & Stevens cannot be held liable for any dependence upon this automated calculation. The circumstances of every leasehold property are different and you should not rely on the information as a substitute for proper expert advice. The calculator should only be used for calculating the cost of acquiring the freehold of a single house or a lease extension of a single flat on the assumption of a statutory claim, which in the case of a flat is for extending the term by 90 years at a peppercorn rent. It cannot be used for calculating the cost of a collective enfranchisement of a block of flats. The calculation does not allow for Stamp Duty Land Tax or other transaction costs. If you have any doubts about the valuation, please contact Marr-Johnson & Stevens.
Prosper joined MJ&S after graduating in September 1990 and worked alongside his father, Simon, on enfranchisement matters, for several years. The founding partners have both retired from the partnership, and Prosper now runs the firm with Tim Martin.

The majority of his work is within the leasehold enfranchisement field on houses, flats and blocks of flats. Prosper frequently advises clients on the Bedford, Cadogan, Church Commissioners, Crown, Day, Grosvenor, Howard de Walden, Ilchester, Phillimore, Portman, and Wellcome estates, as well as tenants of other large property companies such as the Freshwater Group and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. He has acted as an expert witness many times in front of tribunals as well as for mediation purposes.
